Chili

2 lbs. ground beef, extra lean

1 onion, small, diced

2-15 oz. cans tomato sauce, no salt added

1/2 t. black pepper

1/2 t. garlic powder

1/4 t. cumin

2 t. chili powder

1/4 t. cayenne pepper

1 1/2 c. kidney beans, rinsed and drained


In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onions until meat is brown and onion is translucent.  Pour meat mixture in a colander over sink.  Rinse to remove fat.  Wipe out skillet.  Return meat mixture to skillet and add tomato sauce, spices and beans.  Let simmer on low at least 20 minutes.
