Japanese Style Green Beans

1 T. canola oil

1 1/2 t. sesame oil

1 lb. green beans, fresh washed

1 T. soy sauce, less sodium

1 T. sesame seeds


Warm a large skillet over medium-high heat.  When the skillet is hot, pour in canola and sesame oils, then place the whole green beans in the skillet.  Stir the beans to coat with oil.  Partially cover skillet with lid.  Cook until the beans are bright green and and slightly browned in spots then reduce heat to medium.  Cook for another 2-3 minutes.  Remove from heat and stir in soy sauce; cover and let sit 2-3 minutes.  Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Makes 5-1/2 c. servings.
