Strawberry Cream Dessert

1 10.5-oz angel food cake loaf

1 .6-oz pkg. strawberry flavored sugar free gelatin

1 ¾ c. boiling water

2 c. ice cubes

2 c. strawberries, sliced

2 Whole strawberries for garnish

1 8-oz.  tub fat free light whipped topping, thawed

 

Slice angel food loaf into slices; cut each slice into 4 strips.  Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved.  Add ice cubes; stir until melted.  Add whipped topping and sliced strawberries; stir gently until well blended.  Refrigerate 10 minutes or until mixture is very thick and will mound.  Begin layers with ½ of angel food cake sticks in bottom of dish. Gently spoon strawberry cream mixture over cake sticks.  Garnish with strawberries.  Refrigerate for 3 hours or until firm.
