1 c. water, very warm
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 T. sugar
1 pkg. rapid rising yeast
1 T. melted butter or trans-fat free margarine
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 t. salt
3/4-1 c. all purpose flour (reserve)
Mix water and butter together and set aside. Mix together dry ingredients in medium bowl. Add water/butter mixture to flour mix; stir until well blended. Add 3/4 to 1 c. (reserve) flour until dough is workable. Place dough into oiled bowl and turn over in bowl to coat. Cover dough with plastic wrap and let rise in warm place for 30 minutes until it doubles in size. Punch down dough and oil or flour your hands if dough is too sticky and make in to a loaf, 12 rolls, or 12 clover leaf rolls in a muffin pan. Let rise again in warm place for 30 more minutes. Bake for 8-10 minutes in a 425 degree oven. You may brush with melted margarine on rolls or loaf before the second rise. Then brush with margarine after they are baked, if desired.
