Speedy Meatball Subs

1/2 recipe of Baked Meatballs (12 meatballs)

1 t. vegetable oil

1/2 onion, cut into thin strips

1/2 green bell pepper, cut into thin strips

1 1/4 c. prepared spaghetti sauce

1/2 t. basil

4 hoagie rolls, split

1/2 c. part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded


Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot.  Add onion and bell pepper; cook and stir 5 minutes or until tender.  Add meatballs, sauce, and basil; bring to a boil.  Reduce heat; simmer 6 to 8 minutes or until meatballs are heated through, stirring occasionally.  Serve in rolls  Sprinkle with cheese.


Makes 4 servings.
