1 lb. ground beef, extra lean
1 can tomato sauce, no salt added (15 oz)
2 c. dry macaroni, cooked and drained
½ onion, medium
½ c. cheddar cheese, reduced fat, shredded
1 t. chili powder
½ t. black pepper
Brown ground beef for 5 minutes then add onion; cook for 3-5 minutes until done; rinse and drain. Return
meat to skillet. Add tomato sauce
and spices, let simmer 3-4 minutes.
Add macaroni into skillet; simmer for 3 minutes. Add cheese and stir to
incorporate.
Makes 9 1-cup servings.
