Interests

Professional Interests:

Educating all ages, organizing for efficiency, cooking, gardening, recycling or self-sustainability.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, taking road trips, camping, hiking and experiencing new cultures and foods. I am always interested in a good bargain, especially shopping at thrift and antique stores. I am also a self-proclaimed nerd and love learning about music, art, science and history.

Inspiration

Growing up, preparing food and fellowship as a family was an integral part of our culture. I treasured acquiring new cooking techniques and recipes with my parents and learning to prepare homemade noodles, bread and butter at our family farm with my grandmother. It instilled in me the importance of knowing where your food comes from and working toward self-sustainability.

Why I Love My Job

I look forward to teaching new life skills to people of all ages, especially children. I wholeheartedly believe in the philosophy of "you are what you eat" and have watched friends and family struggle with food-related health issues such as diabetes and high cholesterol over the years. I am so excited to have the opportunity to show how food can be delicious, healthy, affordable and easy to prepare.
