Ingredients

  • Cooking Spray
  • 12 Fruit rings (pineapple, pear, apple) fresh or canned, core removed
  • 1 c Bakery mix*, low fat
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ c Milk, skim
  • 1 T Cinnamon/sugar
  • Yogurt Dipping Sauce (Get Fresh! recipe), optional
  • 6 oz Yogurt, vanilla, light
  • ¼ t Cinnamon
  • ½ t Brown Sugar

*Bakery mix (baking mix) is a premixed baking product that includes flour, baking powder and other ingredients.

Directions

  1. In a large bowl MIX bakery mix, egg and milk.
  2. HEAT a skillet on medium heat. SPRAY with cooking spray.
  3. DIP fruit rings one at a time into the batter. PLACE in the skillet to COOK until golden brown. FLIP to COOK the other side. SPRINKLE the cooked side with 1 T cinnamon/sugar mixture.
  4. SERVE with Yogurt Dipping Sauce, if desired.
