Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 12 Wonton wrappers
  • 12 oz Cherries (~2 c)
  • 3 T Sugar
  • 2 T Cornstarch
  • 1 t Lemon juice

Directions

  1. PREHEAT oven to 375˚F.
  2. SPRAY a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray. PLACE 1 wonton wrapper in each muffin cup making it into a cup shape.
  3. SPRAY the wonton wrappers with cooking spray and BAKE for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.
  4. PLACE cherries in a saucepan over medium heat and HEAT the cherries until juices are released and it comes to a simmer.
  5. In a separate bowl, MIX the sugar and cornstarch.
  6. REMOVE from heat and ADD the sugar mixture and lemon juice into the cherries and COOK until mixture has thickened.
  7. When wonton cups are cooled, SPOON the cherry filling into each cup.
